In November of 2025, the Red Quills hosted their own Mapvember Challenge. The concept was simple: for 30 days, Ryan of the Red Quills would post one video per day, and create and publish one map.
I made it all the way through.
Mapvember ran for the entire month, and contributors had to fight for places. As part of the challenge, individuals could volunteer to take a part of a world — Requield, a rather clever play on the ‘Red Quills’ host — and by the end, they would all add to a massive, community-led Atlas Project.
There were dozens of contributors for the Mapvember Challenge, and hundreds of entries. Each day would see another prompt posted on the Discord and the social media channels of the Red Quills, with details of what Ryan would be creating the following day.
The 26 maps below are not the full catalogue for the month, but they are the lion’s share of the work done for Ryan’s part of the world — the continent Ahnakos.
