The Map to the Vault Key | Downloadable Map

We're trying something new and experimental here at the Red Quills this week: we always try to have something interesting and usable for you as worldbuilders and writers, and this is no different. Here is the Map to the Vault Key, a coded map designed to be given to players or readers early on, and take several weeks to solve.

This is something that Ryan of the Red Quills talks about a lot more in the full video, which you can check out through the link below. But sometimes, just having a kindergarten-level puzzle or a riddle on a door just doesn't scratch the itch that you have to really sink your teeth into a mystery. The solution? A coded map.

In order to use it in your own campaign, you will need to reference the maps of The Isle of Dreams and the Map of the Goldhunter's Sea.

In order to make this map, Ryan coded it with several layers of hidden information, steps that are necessary to take in order to unlock more and more relevant information. He also created a new language style and set of characters for the map, which are downloadable below.

And, as we've been doing recently, this map connects strongly to our current campaign, where the explorer Yemoke is struggling along on his quest to find and slay the Pirate King.
