The Andermonde Project
How can you map a world in a way that feels true to the setting, immersive, and exciting to the viewer? The slog of going through the details of worldbuilding can feel overwhelming, but this series of tutorials on making world maps for the fictional setting of Andermonde makes it approachable.
The Andermonde Project is designed to showcase and provide examples of making and exploring within a steampunk world. An entire world.
Welcome to Andermonde! Some call the world Tzakla'tun, or Ynverrai, but all can agree that it is a vast and varied wonder. In Nonotoule, ancient civilisations have grown and flourished without the benefit of magic, its effects and sources fading to myth. And far across the seas, on the other side of the world, Xyletl is filled with mystery.
There, a great civilisation rose and fell, its scholars and arcanists wielding power the likes of which their scientific counterparts could only dream.
And now, those two worlds have come together.
